Micheal Witzel and his sick mind

Here are some really enlightening article on the Harvard Professor Micheal Witzel; a professor of sanskrit who cannot speak the language!!

Micheal Witzel was the "expert" who tried hard to keep the lies about Hinduism in California School education textbooks and eventually lost.

An investigation on his credentials and arguments clearly show that he is nothing but an ignorant racial bigot,

"It is important for the State Board of Education to make sure that the textbooks in California do not mention anything about recent excavations, carbon dating techniques, genetic evidence, methods used by geophysicists, and the discovery of the bones of horses and various other relics. All these are conspiracies hatched by Hindus along with the faculty members in the science departments of various universities and media outlets.

Instead, our children must be taught true history based upon facts found in the Bible. For this purpose, it is important to consider the works of Max Muller and Prof. Stanley Wolpert along with the arguments of Dr. Steve Farmer and Prof. Michael Witzel.California has always been a trendsetter and it is distressing that other states have forged ahead of California when it comes to teaching creation science. This anomaly must be corrected immediately and it can be corrected by teaching Aryan Invasion Theory which is based on creation science.

The State Board of Education must be commended for accepting the recommendations of Muslims, Jews, and Christians, but having a separate meeting to decide the recommendations of Hindus. This shows that SBE believes in being loyal to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Joseph.

This loyalty must now be taken to the next step by showing Hindus their place and teaching Aryan Invasion Theory and the underlying theory of creation science to our children. You must disregard the claims of Hindus and make sure that you take into consideration only the demands of Christians and Indian Communists when it comes to determining what the textbooks teach about Hindus. America is a Christian nation and only the White Christian nationalist viewpoint must be considered."

In Russia, in general, we have 'dry law' on the naval vessels. Worrisome news from India

Found some very disturbing news today

http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1261817

"Buoyed by the response from Muslim voters, the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) has decided to go ahead with minority development programmes. Muslim representation will be increased in education and in government jobs. But, fearing protests, the government is refraining from talking about quotas for them.

Though not clearly uttering "reservations for Muslims", minority affairs minister Salman Khurshid said the government will go for strong "affirmative action in the Indian way, not restricting to quota"
."

I can understand why affirmative action is required in the US for Black people. The africans were made slaves and treated very badly and thus the white people have to make it up to them.
In India, it is the Muslims who enslaved and persecuted the hindus!! Why on earth are the hindus obliged to take responsibility for the villians and introduce affirmative action?!!
I hope the BJP makes a big noise about this. But with Shushma Swaraj ("Ayodya issue is an ecashed cheque) and Jaitley being the new leaders in the LS and RS, that seems unlikely.

Another hindu seer killed in Orissa

"The brutal murder of Mauni Baba on Tuesday at Puri is a grim reminder of the August 23 killing of Swami Lakshmanananda Saraswati, said BJP national secretary Dharmendra Pradhan.
While the State is witnessing a series of killings by Left Wing ultras, the killing of the Seer has once again proved that the law and order situation of the State is worsening day by day and the Chief Minister has miserably failed to provide security to the people
."

http://www.dnaindia.com/report.asp?newsid=1261815

"The caste war in Maharashtra has taken its toll on the newly published Std IV history and civics textbook. Key references to Brahmin teacher Dadaji Konddev and his role in the life of the Maratha warrior king Chhatrapati Shivaji have been altered dramatically.

A colour picture showing Konddev prominently next to Shivaji in the previous textbook (published in 2000) now shows Konddev in the background. These are just some of the changes in the textbook. The Sambhaji brigade had led a stir demanding the "demotion" of Dadaji Konddev.

The demand to remove Dadoji Kondadev's statue at Lal Mahal in Pune came forward along with a demand to remove his name as Shivaji's teacher from history textbooks
The state government appointed a committee to look into the matter pertaining to an award in the name of Kondadev while Balbharati appointed a separate committee to look into the demand by Maratha organisations
"

I wonder who these idiots are in the Sambhaji brigade!! I think it is the same arseholes who destroyed valuable artifacts when they burned a library having old manuscripts in protest for a book written on Shivaji!!

What do they want?!! Do they want to change history fact? They want Dadoji Kondadev's name removed just because he is a Brahmin?!! How much ever they may object, the fact remains that Dadoji was Shivaji's tutor.

AID, ASHA and other similar NGO's

Found some very good articles on AID and other NGO's which work against India, directly or indirectly.

I have a friend in AID who I had a heated debate with. When I said it would be better to fund hindu groups for disaster relief she said that it would be unfair for the minorities. She was completely ignorant that hindu organizations help everyone irrespective of religion and that non-hindu organization (like World Vision) directly or indirectly support religious discrimination. Secondly, the Xtians and the muslims have wealthy societies outside of the country from where there is a flood of wealth which comes to them. It is their fault if this money is mostly used to gain poitical power and for proselytising. So while the Xtians and muslims are taken care of by there brethren who will take care of the hindus?

The ASHA group at my university rejected a proposal which included distributing comic books (amar Chitra katha variety) among children to enlighten them about Indian culture and history becasue they considered it "communal"!!!

Most if not all AID, ASHA people are victims of this perverse logic that anything hindu is anti somebody else!

Here are some links which make very informative reads on this topic.

Demanding Hindu rights in Europe

It is high time the hindus started standing up for their rights in other countries especially when their people have no qualm in demanding rights in India.

Hinduism and other religions are treated a cults instead of respectable religions in Europe.

Rajan Zed, the Hindu priest from the US, who became famous after his opening prayer at a state senate, is making waves in the international ciruit.

Hinduism is not recognized as a religion in Europe

"Hindus presented a groundbreaking memorandum to European Parliament (EP) President Hans-Gert Pottering on Wednesday asking Hinduism to be recognized fully and officially in all the 27 member states of EP.

Rajan Zed, acclaimed Hindu statesman from USA, who met with Pottering in his Brussels office Wednesday on an historic invitation to discuss Hindu issues and promote interfaith dialogue, listed fifteen more European Hindu issues besides recognition.

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, also asked for announcement of Diwali as major festival of European Union (EU), consulting Hindus at national levels on religious and related issues as equal partners, adequate Hindu representation in various EU bodies, fair treatment of all major religions instead of patronizing only one kind of religion or denomination, complete freedom of practice of chosen religion by the citizens, availability of suitable and adequate facilities for Hindu funerals, and promotion of interfaith dialogue.

Rajan Zed said that acquiring permits for building new Hindu temples was a difficult and cumbersome process and many times ended in delay or denial. He asked for introduction of comparative religion as a subject in high schools, including all the major religions of the world, and added that states should work for more assimilation and inclusiveness of all major religions.

Zed told Pottering that EU should ensure better labeling of foods clarifying that whether the contents included any non-vegetarian (meat, seafood, eggs, etc.) matter or the contents were purely vegetarian.

Rajan Zed further noted that there were reports that in an EU country, schools refused to mention "Hindu" in the "religion" column of student records and asked students/parents to bring certificates to prove that they were Hindu. This practice should be stopped immediately and whatever religion the student (in case he/she was adult) or his/her parents (in case he/she was minor) mention, should be included in the records, Zed stressed.

Zed pointed out that in an EU country, municipalities reportedly avoided writing "Hindu" in the "religion" column on birth certificates and instead wrote "no religion" or left blank. Municipalities in EU area should be clearly directed to write whatever religion parents of the child (whose birth certificate they were issuing) told them to write, without asking any questions.

Zed also mentioned that there were allegations of glass ceiling for top jobs and institutional discrimination."

No equality of religions in Europe

"MALTA CRIMINAL Code reportedly makes one liable to imprisonment up to six months for publicly vilifying 'Roman Catholic Apostolic Religion', while committing such act against 'any cult tolerated by law' makes one liable to imprisonment only up to three months.

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that it seemed to imply that except Roman Catholic, other religions and denominations, including Hinduism, were just one of the cults.

Rajan Zed, President of Universal Society of Hinduism, argued that it was perturbing to note that a country of European Union, which prided itself for its human rights initiatives, apparently treated crimes against religious sentiment of 'other' religions/denominations as less serious than against majority religion and described religions/denominations other than majority religion as cults.

The Venice Commission of Council of Europe in a report concluded that 'offence of blasphemy should be abolished'. It states core values of effective democracy as: pluralism, tolerance, respect for human rights and non-discrimination. It points to education leading to better understanding of the convictions of others and to tolerance."

Hindus ask for compensation for Roma deaths

"Hindus have asked for minimum one million euros compensation for each of the Roma and other victims of lead poisoning in northern Kosovo.

Acclaimed Hindu statesman Rajan Zed, in a statement in Nevada (USA) today, said that it was highly shocking to learn that that the world let this environmental health and humanitarian disaster happen in 21st century Europe, which boasts of its human rights record.
According to reports, lead poisoning caused severe and sometimes irreversible organ and brain damage, including death and abortion, to Roma and other families relocated to these camps in a polluted area near a lead smelter in Mitrovica temporarily (some say for maximum 45 days) in 1999 by the United Nations following the Kosovo war on land reportedly highly contaminated with lead, zinc, arsenic and other metals. They still remain on this toxic land, thus further aggravating already existing health problems.

Zed, who is president of Universal Society of Hinduism, said that United Nations, European Union, Kosovo Government, World Health Organization (WHO) and others involved should formally apologize to affected families besides compensating each victim (family of the victim in case the person died due to lead contamination) with minimum one million Euros each.
Rajan Zed further said that an independent enquiry should be instituted into this preventable disaster. Immediately relocate affected families from this so called toxic wasteland, arrange thorough medical treatment for them, find them safe permanent housing, improve their health condition, and provide them livelihood support, Zed adds.

An investigation by Kosovo Ombudsperson Institution concerning this lead contamination, concluded “that the elements of the case give rise to a continuous violation by UNMIK (United Nations Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo) of more than one international human rights standards directly applicable in Kosovo, among which the right to life, the right to health, the right to adequate housing, the principle of non-discrimination and several rights enshrined in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.”
"

Hindus urge Norway to treat religions equally in schools

"Hindus and Jews have asked Norway to treat all major religions evenly while teaching religion in its schools.

Rajan Zed, acclaimed Hindu statesman; and Rabbi Jonathan B. Freirich, prominent Jewish leader in Nevada and California in USA; in a joint statement, said that syllabus of subject “Christian knowledge and religious and ethical education”, taught in Norwegian primary and lower secondary schools, was firmly based in the majority religion and culture, thus resulting in minority faiths getting step-motherly treatment.

According to reports, under this religious education, approximately 55 per cent of the teaching hours are allocated to Christianity; about 25 per cent on Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism and other religious diversity and views on life; and approximately 20 per cent on philosophy and ethics. This class is mandatory, without any exceptions for children of other religious groups.

According to Norway Education Act: Teaching in Religion and Ethics shall—provide a “thorough knowledge” of the Bible and Christianity…, provide a “thorough knowledge” of the Evangelical-Lutheran faith and of different Christian denominations, provide “knowledge” of other world religions and philosophies of life, promote understanding and respect for Christian and humanist values,…

Zed and Freirich argued that offering equal treatment to each of the major world religions and non-believers’ viewpoint would make the Norwegian schoolchildren well-nurtured, well-balanced, and enlightened citizens of tomorrow.
"

http://www.sindhtoday.net/entertainment/93779.htm

"Thomas Hammarberg, Commissioner for Human Rights of Council of Europe, in his Viewpoint published on April 27 on Council website, said, “Anti-Gypsyism continues to be a major human rights problem in Europe – governments must start taking serious action against both official and inter-personal discrimination of Roma”.

He cited incidents where Roma children were forced to strip and violently slap one another in a Slovakia police station, sudden eviction of Roma families in Belgrade without alternative accommodation, etc. He asks in the Viewpoint, “Would this have happened to non-Roma?”

A joint statement recently released by the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights, the Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights, and the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, said, "Our organisations are deeply concerned by the continuing discriminatory treatment and exclusion of the Roma, and particularly by the recent escalation in hate motivated incidents and racist rhetoric reported in a number of States.”"

Understanding the Kashmir problem

I found an amazing e-book on Kashmir called "Converted Kashmir: Memorial of mistakes" written by Narendra Sehgal.

It gives a very good picture of the history of Kashmir beginning from ancient times to the present where the beautiful land of Kashmir, one of the main seats of Hindu philosophy has been converted into a prejudiced and hateful society of islamic hindu haters.

http://www.kashmir-information.com/ConvertedKashmir/index.html

The entire book is chock full of information on Kashmir and is a must read to gain a good perspective on the whole issue. I wish this book were given to all Indians to read.

An interesting section is the part where he writes about the major blunders with respect to Kashmir in which he mentions about how Nehru had a huge contribution to the present crisis. He also gives good info on how the RSS helped defend Kashmir ( a fact that has been conviniently erased from public memory thanks to the Congress-Marxist nexus in Indian politics and academia) against the marauding Pakistanis.

Open threat to India - where is the media/national outrage?

Here is a shocking piece of news about the arrest of Rashid Malabari and his associates. Of course all of them are Muslims and many from the hot bed of terror -Kerala. Apparently Malabari entered from Nepal, most likely from Philibit, which is why Chotta Shakeel asked him to kill Varun Gandhi.

The way things are going it looks like if anyone says anything against Malabari and his associoated, the NSA will be invoked against him by the political thugs in the Congress, CPI-M and the BSP and supported by the treasonous media!! This is the level that our political and media disourse has sunk to!

It is shocking how there is so little news on this but the MSM went guns blazing against Varun Gandhi whose only crime was to say he will protect Hindus!! This news should have been made top headlines but I guess the media is worried if it will get sympathy for Varun!

It turns out that Malabari had Pramod Muthalik and possibly BJP ministers on his hit list (The K'taka home minitsry has not divulged any more info). The audacity of this planning is shocking!! How much longer will the people if India allow the pseudo-secular politicians and the incompetent media to encourage such Islamic threats?!

http://election.rediff.com/report/2009/apr/01/loksabhapoll-the-man-who-wanted-to-kill-varun-gandhi.htm

"Investigations, which have been carried out following the arrest of Malabari, have now revealed following the violence and panic created by the Shri Ram Sena in Mangalore, the plan was hatched in Pakistan to eliminate its leader Pramod Muthalik."

(Notice the pseudo-secular flavor in this sentence- Violence and panic!! Isnt that exagerrating a little too much. What would you call a riot? Violence and panic!! Arent they trivializing greater crimes by using such strong words for smaller issues? Also, why the hell should Malabari have a problem with Sri rem sene beating up a few hindu girls for getting drunk?!! Doesn't Islam also preach against women disrobing and drinking alcohol?!! Obviously it is not the incident in Mangalore which has made Malabari pick Muthalik as a target, then why does the media bring in this angle ot the story? Do they want to generate sympathy for Malabari as they always do for terrorists?!!)

Here are photographs of the arrest,
http://mangalorean.com/news.php?newstype=broadcast&broadcastid=118509

Notice the comments made,
"Mohammed , UAE, Mar 30, 2009
So the BJP government has started framing innocent minorities.I wonder why they are not able to catch those who damaged the sacred churches and mosques and killed innocent minorities."

"Maqbool, UAE Mar 31, 2009 (Justifying terror)

"Roshan D'Souza, UAE Mar 31, 2009

They also caught some people who gave shelter to Malabari

Hindus in Bengal

Found something on the net regarding the state of Hindus in West Bengal. Looks like the hindus are treated at second class citizens by the commies and the muslims.

The hindus seem to have been forced to form self defence groups. I am sure these group will be called terrorists by the media and the Congress/commie combine since their crime will be standing up for their rights!

http://hindusamhati.blogspot.com/2008/03/launch-of-hindu-samhati-report.html
(Warning-There is a picture of an innocent boy who was burned by muslims)

"On a sombre note Sri Ghosh also added that the current situation is fast heading towards another partition of India in the near future and that is going to happen in the eastern region, especially in West Bengal and Assam. If such an event did come to pass, he stressed, he and his compatriots would not just remain mere spectators in the gallery but would be on the field, fighting to the finish to preserve the integrity of our motherland."

Apparently one of their campls was ladi seige by thousands of muslims,

http://forums.sulekha.com/forums/coffeehouse/hindu-samhati-leaders-arrested-after-attack-by-6-000-strong-muslim-mob-in-west-bengal-845311.htm

"Everything went on smoothly until this evening, when suddenly the camp building was surrounded by a murderous mob of about 6000-7000 local Muslims bent on mayhem. The Muslim attackers were well-prepared and have been throwing gas cylinders and petrol bombs (molotov cocktails) and kept on attacking incessantly for a few hours, to incinerate the whole camp."

http://bengalspotlight.blogspot.com/2009/01/hindu-samhati-trainging-camp-at.html
(Pictures of the training camp)

"In His in augural speech Shri Upananda Brahmachari urged the Hindu Youth to accept the challenges cast by the anti Indian elements especially by the Islamic and Christian fundamentalists before the Bharatiya Society. Upanandaji said that such challenges are the reality in India and anywhere in the world. But the Bengali Hindus will face the dire consequences immediately, if they do not begin to resist Islamic terrorism and expansionism. As West Bengal and Assam stands on the bloody borders of Islam (Islamic Bangladesh), they are going to become the immediate battleground. Before this challenge, unity and organisation is a must. But it should not be for the sake of name only, there must be a firm resolve to take necessary action. Even individual initiative of any kind is required to save the integrity and sovereignty of Hindu Soceity. Shri Brahmachari maintained that Bengali Hindus were not cowards, and even now they may change the situation in favour of Hindus by expelling the influences of fraudulent politicians misguiding the whole Hindu society in the name of absurd secularism. Shri Brahmachari urged the trainees to be the leaders and champions of their own localities so that nobody can challenge Hindu Soceity in any way."

Another Gautier Gem

Found another brilliant article written by Gautier while searching for more information on the new Indian school of journalism. It is crazy that foreigners are trying so hard to revitalize India while majority of our stupid brain dead educated natives dont seem to care!

Be Aware of your roots

By Francois Gautier

As a Frenchman, I was coached right from childhood that logic, what we in France call Cartesianism, is the greatest gift given to man. Thus, I taught my students in a Bangalore school of journalism that the first tool of a good reporter is to go by his or her own judgment on the ground, with the help of one’s first-hand experience — and not by second hand information: what your parents thought, what you have read in the newspapers, what your caste, religion, culture pushes you into.

Yet in India, logic does not seem to apply to most of the media, especially when it touches anything Hindu.

One cannot, for instance, equate Muslim terrorists who blow up innocent civilians in market places all over India, with angry ordinary Hindus who burn churches without killing anybody.

We know that most of these communal incidents often involve persons of the same caste, Dalits and tribals, some converted to Christianity and some not.

Then, however reprehensible the destruction of the Babri Masjid, no Muslim was killed in the process.

Compare this with the ‘vengeance’ bombings of 1993 in Mumbai, which killed hundreds of innocents, mostly Hindus. Yet Indian and western journalists keep matching up the two, or even showing the Babri Masjid destruction as the more horrible act of the two.

How can you compare the RSS, a bunch of harmless daddies, with the Indian Mujahideen, a terrorist organisation? How can you make of Narendra Modi a mass killer, when it was ordinary middle-class, or even Dalit Hindus, who went out on the streets in fury when 56 innocent people, many of them women and children, were burnt in a train? How can you lobby for the lifting of the ban on SIMI, an organisation which is suspected of having planted bombs in many Indian cities, killing hundreds of innocents, while advocating the ban of the Bajrang Dal, which burns churches when an 84-year-old Hindu swami and his Mataji are brutally murdered? There is no logic in the perspective of journalists in this country when it comes to minorities. Christians are supposed to make up two per cent of the population in India, but last Sunday many major television channels showed live the canonisation ceremonies of sister Alphonsa, an obscure nun from Kerala.

Union minister Oscar Fernandes led an entire Indian delegation to the Vatican ceremony along with the Indian ambassador. It would be impossible in England, for instance, which may have a 2 per cent Hindu minority, to have live coverage of a major Hindu ceremony, like the anointment of a new Shankaracharya. What was NDTV, which seems to have deliberately chosen to highlight this nonevent, trying to prove? That it is secular? But it is absolutely disproportionate.

Some might even call it antinational.

The headline, ‘India gets its first woman saint’, in many newspapers, Indian and western, is misleading.

India has never been short of saints. The woman sage from over 3,000 years ago — Maithreyi, Andal, the Tamil saint from early in the first Millennium CE and Akkamahadevi, the 15th century saint from modernday Karnataka, are but a few examples.

What many publications fail to mention in this story is that this is the first woman Christian saint, not the first Indian woman saint.

Such a statement is OK when it comes, for instance, from the BBC, which always looks at India through the Christian prism, but when it comes to the Indian media, it only shows their grave lack of grounding in Indian culture and history.

The same thing is true of Sonia Gandhi, who seemed, even though the Congress should by all means have already collapsed with 12 per cent inflation, scandal after scandal, a nuclear deal with the US that leaves India vulnerable to the Chinese and Pakistani nuclear threat, and bomb blast after bomb blast, still ruling India with an iron hand. Yet newspapers and TV channels keep praising Sonia Gandhi.

And the question must be asked: how is it possible that a nation of a billion people, with some of the best minds on this planet, allows itself to be governed by a non-Indian lady, who, however sincere she may be, is actively overseeing the dismantling of whatever is good and true in India? It would be impossible in France for a Hindu woman, or for that matter a non-Christian person, who is just an elected MP, to govern our country from behind the scenes like an empress. Why is it allowed in India and why is the Indian press so selfrighteous about it ? Finally, when will Indians start being proud of themselves and their own culture and stop looking down on their own society ? This inferiority complex, as expressed by NDTV’s live coverage of the canonisation of sister Alphonsa, is a legacy of the British, who strove to show themselves as superior and Indian culture as inferior (and inheritor of the ‘White Aryans’, a totally false theory). Is it not time to institute schools of journalism, both private and public, where not only a little bit of logic is taught, but where students are made aware of Indian history and the greatness of Indian culture, so that when they go out reporting, they use their own judgment and become Indian journalists, with a little bit of feeling, pride and love for their own country?

Indian School of Journalism

I found an old article in the express while browsing where I learnt that there is a school of Journalism, started under the aegis of Francois Gautier, in Bangalore. I had never heard of it before but it seems very promising.

Journalism as the art of living

By Francois Gautier

In a year or so, a unique and revolutionary new Indian school of journalism is going to be inaugurated in Bangalore. In this school, students will not only be taught the complete art of journalism. They will also learn to look at India through an Indian perspective, to cast an eye on the world which will carry some of the knowledge and wisdom of a civilisation -- their own -- which is five thousand years old.

They will, for instance, be taught pranayama, the ancient technique of breathing devised thousand of years ago by Indian sages, so that they know how to regulate their breath in time of stress and thus control their emotions. They will be taught the art of meditation, so that they can get their inspiration from a quiet, strong and silent mind. They will be taught asanas, so that their body is strong and resilient and can endure any physical situation. They will be taught a unique cleansing technique called Sudarshan Kriya, which eliminates toxins and stress from the mind and body.

They will study the Vedas, which contain the ultimate truth, the Ramayana, the Mahabharata, and India's great philosophers like Sri Aurobindo. They will even be taught to sing and dance, so that there is joy and spontaneity in their life and not the dry, intellectual pompousness of the pipe-smoking, Oxford English-speaking journalist, or the chain-smoking pseudo-Marxist... In short, they will be taught the Art of Living.

Sounds preposterous? But these methods should be applied to all aspects of education in India, from the kindergarten onwards, so that schools and universities do not churn out western clones, who have no idea about the greatness and the immense wealth of their own country. And the first thing which should be taught to all students, whether they are toddlers or aspiring journalists, is that there exists a Knowledge - spiritual, occult, yogic - still alive in India, which has died all over the world, where only churches and dogmas survive, although this knowledge was once prevalent in ancient civilisations -in Egypt, Mesopotamia, Greece etc. They should also understand that if this knowledge, which is not Hinduism, which is not religious, is left to die in India, it will be gone forever from this world which might slowly drift towards pralaya.

At the moment, India is still living under Nehru's legacy, who had chosen to turn its back on anything which had a spiritual connection and had espoused the Marxist way of life, which produced an immense bureaucracy, corruption and the kind of politicians we see today. It also bred many generations of Indian intellectuals and journalists, who kept running down the greatness of their own country and aped anything that came from the West -- the good and the bad. Today many of Indian newspapers and magazines do not reflect a true Indian point of view, but constantly look at India through a western prism which contains none of the wisdom and knowledge of ancient India.

Take the Pope's visit for instance. Instead of defending India's point of view - as it would have beennormal practice in any other country - by doing some background research on the atrocities committed by the Portuguese in Goa, or about the economic incentives wh-ich missionaries have used -- and are still using - to convert entire chunks of the Northeast and Central India, most of the Indian press went on its usual VHP-RSS-Bhajrang Dal bashing. It is too easy to repeat ad infinitum that Christians in India are only two percent (a nearly ten years old census), because the influence which Christians exert in India is tremendous. Not only do they control the best schools (and hospitals), thus shaping the minds of India's future elite, their sometimes alliance with Marxists make them redoubtable adversaries.

Furthermore, very few newspapers and magazines chose to publish extracts of the Southern Baptist Church's prayer books (the second largest Christian organisation in the US, of which President Clinton is a member) which call Hinduism "satanic" and say that "Hindus live in the darkness of their hearts, which no lamp can dispel". Some of the Christian leaders (the majority of Indian Christians are nice and peace-loving people) have thus been able to take full advantage of this hatred of the Indian press -- which is mostly composed of Hindus -- against any organisation or individual who dares to defend Hindus, and their softness for anybody who attacks Hindus.

It is in this way that the Vatican was able to lecture India on the "atrocities" committed against Indian Christians, without mentioning the much greater atrocities committed against the Hindus who had welcomed so wholeheartedly Christians centuries ago. It is also sad that the BJP, which not so long ago was the target of attacks by these very same journalists, chose to arrest a few of the leaders of those groups who had the courage to stand up for their own ideas. Do you remember, Mr Advani, when you were arrested and branded a "Nazi" by the Indian press, who stood by you then?

So what is needed is a new generation of Indian journalists who will be proud of their country without being chauvinists, who will be brilliant without being superficial, who will take the best of the west, without being western clones, who will draw inspiration from the knowledge alive in this country, without being bigots. They will be Indian journalists.

The Islamic threat

http://www.hindustantimes.com/StoryPage/StoryPage.aspx?sectionName=India&id=4564d4ad-4290-4163-a2e7-0aaf0de26557&Headline=Rape+victim+converts+to+Islam+to+marry+accused

A shocking news that shows exactly how muslims in India threaten innocent hindus. If someone stood up for this girl I bet the Indian media and the congress/left parties would brand them communal!!

"A rape victim has told a city court that she wants to marry her violator. Almost four years after Sheila was allegedly raped by Ali (both names changed), she has converted to Islam and is ready to accept him as her husband."

"Sheila, who had earlier identified the accused and deposed against him in court, pleaded that after registration of the case in 2005, people in her locality (Most likely more muslims) were constantly maligning the image of her family. “The rape case has made my life hell and jeopardised my future prospects of leading a happy married life. I want to marry Ali, as our marriage would end my ordeal,” Sheila told the court."

"The court dismissed Ali's bail plea saying rape was a criminal case and the accused should be punished for the crime. “The mother of the accused had approached the victim and put pressure on her for the marriage. It is a ploy to organise a false marriage ceremony to get the accused out of the jail,” said advocate Banju, who is associated with the Rape Crisis Cell, Delhi Commission of Women."

Conspiracy to destroy India

The Congress seems to be leaving no stone unturned to destroy India and make it a slave country. It is a fact that our Prime minister Man Mohan Singh's daughter was involved in making a history textbook for Delhi University which had extremely derogatory statement against the Ramayana!

Here is a very good article on exactly how the congress and the communists are falsifying Indian history to paint a picture of their liking and in the process are leading India into destruction. (I personally disagree with the author's opinion on national language. The only language which really deserves to be the national language is Sanskrit)

The muck we teach our children
A conspiracy to distort history and de-nationalise students
By Himanshu Shekhar Jha

Education at the school stage in India today suffers from a number of ills which are difficult to detail within the compass of a few words. Each evil needs to be addressed separately and elaborately. One of such evil is the anti-Hindu, and therefore, the anti-national educational policy of the Government.

Though the word “National” has been used both in the National Curriculum Framework (NCF) 2005 and in the National Policy on Education (1986), if anything makes its absence conspicuous in the various textbooks published by the NCERT, it is love for the motherland and pride in her glorious past.

That the NCERT text books are anti-national is abundantly clear from the introductory note for teachers given in the book of social science called Social and Political Life II prescribed for class VII. The aforesaid note says:

SPL (Social and Political Life) functions by the pedagogic principle that the children learn best through an experimental understanding of concepts. This poses a contradiction when the effort is to write a “National” textbook, because a national text can neither sufficiently represent all the various aspects of the various locals, nor fix the sociological background of the child for whom the book is intended.”

If by the word “Locals” used above is meant children belonging to the minority community, that cannot be the ground for framing an anti-national educational policy which admittedly the NCF 2005 and NPOE 1986 diligently seek to do. If India is a democratic republic as the preamble to the Constitution solemnly declares, the interests of the children belonging to the majority community cannot be justifiably jeopardised on any ground whatsoever.

The anti-national features of the NCERT textbooks particularly those related to history and social studies are too glaring to be overlooked. Take, for example, a textbook in history for class VII. This book begins with the photograph of a Muslim cartographer from Arab and ends with that of another Muslim holding a scroll in his hand. The photograph of the Arab cartographer is carried again in much larger form covering almost half of a page. On the very next page appear pictures of Persian and Arabic handwritings and different varieties of their style called nastaliq and shikaste. While these photographs and pictures may have some significance for a book of cartography and art, they are not at all relevant for a book of history whether of India or any other country in the world. In any event, these totally irrelevant photographs and pictures are not going to give anyone knowledge about medieval India which the writer of a book of history is expected to impart.

The NCERT’s above textbooks of history abounds in the pictures of Muslim rulers such as Babar, Humayun, Akbar, Aurangzeb and others, but has no space to carry the portraits of Maharana Pratap, Chatrapati Shivaji and other illustrious historical personages of our sacred Motherland. What inspiration will our children, whether Hindus or Muslim, draw from the portrait of cruel Nadir Shah who had invaded our country, looted gold coins and jewels worth crores of rupees and perpetrated unspeakable atrocities on the people?

In the chapter on “The Mughal Empire” it has been written “Quite in contrast to their predecessors, the Mughals created an empire and accomplished what has hitherto seemed possible for only short periods of time. From the latter half of the sixteenth century they expanded their kingdom from Agra and Delhi until in the seventeenth century they controlled nearly all the subcontinent. They imposed structures of administration and ideas of governance that outlasted their rule leaving a political legacy that succeeding rulers of the subcontinent could not ignore.”

Does the aforementioned political legacy not include forcible conversion of millions of Hindus, destruction of their places of worship in large number and other abominable acts of cruelty and callousness? Does such political legacy deserve to be retained in future as the NCERT historians seems to suggest?

In the subsequent chapter while answering “Why were temples destroyed” an extremely vague and misleading statement has been given in the following words—“Because kings built temples to demonstrate their devotion to God and their power and wealth, it is not surprising that when they attacked one another’s kingdoms, they often targeted these buildings.”

Thus according to NCERT historians the temples were destroyed not by Muslim rulers, but by the Hindu kings themselves when they waged war with one another. Can any historical account be more untrue and anti-national?

The utter falsity of the above statement is evident from the illustration given in the text itself. The account of the Buddhist monk and chronicler Dhammakiti given in the textbook does not show that any Hindu temple had ever been destroyed by a Hindu king. It discloses that only valuables including the statue of Lord Buddha made entirely of gold and other golden images kept in various monasteries had been removed.

Even the subsequent citation related to Chola Kingdom does not lead to the inference that the temples were destroyed by the Hindu kings themselves.

The NCERT is not only all set to oppose nationalism as is evident from the introductory note to teachers already referred to in the foregoing paragraphs, but is also brazenly against patriotism. In the textbook Political Theory prescribed for class XI we come across an excerpt in which Rabindranath Tagore has wrongly and disparagingly spoken against patriotism. The poet might have his own reasons for expressing such views but the NCERT was not under any compulsion to include such anti-national views in a textbook which is prescribed for immature school going children who might certainly be misled by them.

In order to bring its anti-national and anti-patriotic educational policy in limelight the NCERT has super-scribed the caption Tagore’s critique of nationalism above the poet’s impugned quote which can be seen at page 108 of the book Political Theory for Class XI.

Tagore says, “Patriotism cannot be our final spiritual shelter; my refuge is humanity. I will not buy glass for the price of diamonds and I will never allow patriotism to triumph over humanity as long as I am live.”

Is there any hostility between patriotism and humanity? Should children at schools be taught not to be loyal to their Motherland by following the lofty ideals of patriotism? Should they not be told that true patriotism can never be opposed to humanity?

A man who cannot love and serve his own mother can never love and serve mankind. There is no conflict between patriotism and humanity and the question of the one triumphing over the other does not arise as the words “I will never allow patriotism to triumph over humanity” used by Tagore suggest. It is unethical to compare patriotism with ordinary glass and humanity with costly diamonds. Both are equally important.

In the textbook of history for class XII one of the most important and also most neglected subjects—national language has been discussed under the sub-heading “The Language of the Nation”.

Instead of teaching the students to have love and respect for Hindi which alone is fit to be the national language on India the NCERT had given the following excerpt in its book on Social Science from Gandhi's thought under the sub-heading “What should the qualities of a national language be?” which, inter alia, reads as follows:

“To confine oneself to Hindi or Urdu would be a crime against intelligence and patriotism.” (Harijan Sevak, October 12, 1947). How love for one’s own national language which is spoken by the majority of the people including both Hindus and Muslims, be a crime against patriotism?

There is no language in the world like Hindustani. How could a non-existent language become the national language of India?

There is no doubt that NCERT’s textbooks are creating misleading and anti-national feelings among students. A book of history particularly that which is taught in schools must embody moral lessons for the building of the character of students. This can not be done by the NCERT or any other institution run by the Government if its policy is anti-national.

Sita Ram Goel - The true Indian intellectual

This is a nice biography on Sita Ram Goel written by another great Indophile Koenraadt Elst.

Excerpts:

"A lot of people in India and abroad talk about communalism, often in grave tones, describing it as a threat to secularism, to regional and world peace. But can anyone show us a communalist? If we look more closely into the case of any so-called communalist, we find that he turns out to be something else.

Could Syed Shahabuddin be a communalist? After all, he played a key role in the three main "Muslim communalist" issues of recent years: the Babri Masjid campaign, the Shah Bano case and the Salman Rushdie affair (it is he who got The Satanic Verses banned in September 1988). Surely, he must be India's communalist par excellence? Wrong: if you read any page of any issue of Shahabuddin's monthly Muslim India, you will find that he brandishes the notion of "secularism" as the alpha and omega of his politics, and that he directs all his attacks against Hindu "communalism". The same propensity is evident in the whole Muslim "communalist" press, e.g. the Jamaat-i Islami weekly Radiance. Moreover, on Muslim India's editorial board, you find articulate secularists like Inder Kumar Gujral, Khushwant Singh and the late P.N. Haksar.

For the same reason, any attempt to label the All-India Muslim League as communalist would be wrong. True, it is the continuation of the party which achieved the Partition of India along communal lines. Yet, emphatically secularist parties like the Congress Party and the Communist Party of India (Marxist) have never hesitated to include the Muslim League in coalitions governing the state of Kerala. No true communalist would get such a chance.

On the Hindu side then, at least the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS, "National Volunteer Corps") could qualify as "communalist"? Certainly, it is called just that by all its numerous enemies. But then, when you look through any issue of its weekly Organiser, you will find it brandishing the notion of "positive" or "genuine secularism", and denouncing "pseudo-secularism", i.e. minority communalism. Moreover, in order to prove its non-communal character, it even calls itself and its affiliated organizations (trade-union, student organization, political party etc.) "National" or "Indian" rather than "Hindu". The allied political party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP, "Indian People's Party"), shows off the large number of Muslims among its cadres to prove how secular and non-communal it is. Even the Shiv Sena shows off its token Muslims. No, for full-blooded communalists, we have to look elsewhere.

There is only one man in India whom I have ever known to say: "I am a (Hindu) communalist." To an extent, this is in jest, as a rhetorical device to avoid the tangle in which RSS people always get trapped: being called "communalist!" and then spending the rest of your time trying to prove to your hecklers what a good secularist you are. But to an extent, it is because he accepts at least one definition of "communalism" as applying to himself, esp. to his view of India's history since the 7th century. Many historians try to prove their "secularism" by minimizing religious adherence as a factor of conflict in Indian history, and explaining so-called religious conflicts as merely a camouflage for socio-economic conflicts. By contrast, the historian under consideration accepts, and claims to have thoroughly documented, the allegedly "communalist" view that the major developments in medieval and modern Indian history can only be understood as resulting from an intrinsic hostility between religions.

Unlike the Hindutva politicians, he does not seek the cover of "genuine secularism". While accepting the notion that Hindu India has always been "secular" in the adapted Indian sense of "religiously pluralistic", he does not care for slogans like the Vishva Hindu Parishad's advertisement "Hindu India, secular India". After all, in Nehruvian India the term "secular" has by now acquired a specific meaning far removed from the original European usage, and even from the above-mentioned Indian adaptation. If Voltaire, the secularist par excellence, were to live in India today and repeat his attacks on the Church, echoing the Hindutva activists in denouncing the Churches' grip on public life in christianized pockets like Mizoram and Nagaland, he would most certainly be denounced as "anti-minority" and hence "anti-secular".

In India, the term has shed its anti-Christian bias and acquired an anti-Hindu bias instead, a phenomenon described by the author under consideration as an example of the current "perversion of India's political parlance". Therefore, he attacks the whole Nehruvian notion of "secularism" head-on, e.g. in the self-explanatory title of his Hindi booklet "Secularism: the Alternative Name for Treason". The name of India's only self-avowed communalist is Sita Ram Goel.

During the Chinese invasion in 1962, some government officials including P.N. Haksar, Nurul Hasan and the later Prime Minister I.K. Gujral, demanded Goel's arrest. But at the same time, the Home Ministry invited him to take a leadership role in the plans for a guerrilla war against the then widely-expected Chinese occupation of eastern India. He made his co-operation conditional on Nehru's abdication as Prime Minister, and nothing ever came of it.

In 1963, Goel had a book published under his own name which he had published in 1961-62 as a series in Organiser under the pen name Ekaki ("solitary"): a critique of Nehru's consistent pro-Communist policies, titled In Defence of Comrade Krishna Menon. An update of this book was published in 1993: Genesis and Growth of Nehruism. The serial in Organiser had been discontinued after 16 installments because Eknath Ranade and A.B. Vajpayee feared that if any harm came to Nehru, the RSS would be accused of having "created the climate", as in the Gandhi murder case.

In it, Goel questioned the current fashion of attributing India's Communist-leaning foreign policy to Defence Minister Krishna Menon, and demonstrated that Nehru himself had been a consistent Communist sympathizer ever since his visit to the Soviet Union in 1927. Nehru had stuck to his Communist sympathies even when the Communists insulted him as Prime Minister with their unbridled scatologism. Nehru was too British and too middle-class to opt for a fully authoritarian socialism, but like many European Leftists he supported just such regimes when it came to foreign policy. Thus, Nehru's absolute refusal to support the Tibetans even at the diplomatic level when they were overrun by the Chinese army ("a Far-Eastern Munich", according to Minoo Masani: Against the Tide, Vikas Publ., Delhi 1981, p.45.), cannot just be attributed to circumstances or the influence of his collaborators: his hand-over of Tibet to Communist China was quite consistent with his own political convictions."

"While refuting the common explanation that the pro-Communist bias in Nehru's foreign policy was merely the handiwork of Minister Krishna Menon, Goel also drew attention to the harmfulness of this policy to India's national interests. This critique of Nehru's pro-China policies was eloquently vindicated by the Chinese invasion in October 1962, but it cost Goel his job. He withdrew from the political debate, went into business himself and set up Impex India, a company of book import and export with a modest publishing capacity."

"Goel's declared aim is to defend Hinduism by placing before the public correct information about the situation of Hindu culture and society, and about the nature, motives and strategies of its enemies. For, as the title of his book Hindu Society under Siege indicates, Goel claims that Hindu society has been suffering a sustained attack from Islam since the 7th century, from Christianity since the 15th century, this century also from Marxism, and all three have carved out a place for themselves in Indian society from which they besiege Hinduism. The avowed objective of each of these three world-conquering movements, with their massive resources, is diagnosed as the replacement of Hinduism by their own ideology, or in effect: the destruction of Hinduism."

"Most Hindu leaders expressly refuse to search Islamic doctrine for a reason for the observed fact of Muslim hostility. RSS leader Guru Golwalkar once said: "Islam is a great religion. Mohammed was a great prophet. But the Muslims are big fools." (Delhi ca. 1958) This is not logical, for the one thing that unites the (otherwise diverse) community of Muslims, is their common belief in Mohammed and the Quran: if any wrong is attributed to "the Muslims" as such, it must be situated in their common belief system. Therefore, Goel's position is just the opposite: not the Muslims are the problem, but Islam and Mohammed."

"Goel's alternative to the RSS variety of "Muslim appeasement" is to wage an ideological struggle against Islam and Christianity, on the lines of the rational criticism and secularist politics which have pushed back Christian self-righteousness in Europe. The Muslim community, of course, is not to be a scapegoat (as it is for those who refuse to criticize Islam and end up attacking Muslims instead), but has to be seen in the proper historical perspective: as a part of Hindu society estranged from its ancestral culture by Islamic indoctrination over generations. Their hearts and minds have to be won back by an effort of consciousness-raising, which includes education about the aims, methods and historical record of religions."

Attack by Media on Sonal Shah

When Barak Obama won the elections and named Sonal Shah as one fo the people to help him transition to office there were reports of her being associated with the VHP-America as though it were a crime. A campaign of false accusations and character assasination was started by Indian Communist, Muslim and Christian groups to defame Sonal as well as the VHP. Various news articles were published quoting known hindu-haters to show the VHP in a highly negative light.

Here is the offical response from the VHP,
http://www.vhp-america.org/press/Response.htm

The appointment of Ms. Sonal Shah was criticized by only a handful of people, known to have communist ideology, out of three million strong Indian community. True to right-wing fundamentalists' extremist campaign, Mr. Santorum has attempted “swift-boating", this time directed at Sonal Shah. It is exactly this type of false accusations that did not succeed in the recent polls. We do hope that Mr. Santorum would learn from the election that the American people are tired of these tactics.

Rick Santorum's strategy here is to criticize Sonal by criticizing VHPA because of its link to VHP- India due to name, logo and stated ideology. This reminds me of the extremist elements which tried to defeat then candidate Obama by making an obvious but completely fabricated link with Osama Bin-Laden because their names are similar sounding. Just because VHPA and VHP-India share a common name and indeed both represent the cause of Hindus in their respective countries, the name and constituencies is where the relationship ends. Even after the resounding rejection of such tactics of misplaced association in the elections, Mr. Santorum still doesn't get it that the American people have moved on from these types of cheap tactics.

Mr. Santorum also appears to have lack of awareness about our organization and its activities. Vishwa Hindu Parishad (World Hindu Council) of America (VHPA) is a non-profit organization legally registered in USA and has been working with the Hindu community here for the last 38 years. It is an independent body governed by and operating under the laws of the USA, VHPA is inspired by the ideal that the entire world is indeed one big family. VHPA’s work is an open book; VHPA's volunteers serve society selflessly to keep the overhead and administrative costs to less than 10%. VHPA re-constructed an entire village after the Gujarat earthquake which is inhabited by Hindu and Muslim alike.

We must take objection to Mr. Santorum’s canards about VHP–India. Though I cannot speak for VHP-India, those who have taken the time to actually research the incidents of Christian bashing and violence against them have found the facts to be different than what Mr. Santorum alleges – This sad strategy of distorting facts and reporting half-the story does not behoove an ex senator. Christian fundamentalists, whose thinking Mr. Santorum supports have wrought untold havoc in Indian psyche and its social fiber by converting hundreds of thousands of poor, gullible people by fraudulent means. The state of Orissa has been a hotbed of conversions induced by fraud, deceit and allurement and resulting conflicts for many years. Swami Laxmananand, an 84 year old Hindu spiritual leader was killed with AK47 guns and axes along with six of his disciples by these fundamentalist Christians who found him very inconvenient in their game of “harvesting Hindu souls.”

Genesis of Gujarat riots in 2002 is in burning alive of 59 Hindu pilgrims in a train that was set upon by a 2000 strong Muslim mob. Mr. Santorum conveniently says only that “the train caught fire.” The riots killed close to 1000 people which included almost 300 Hindus according to the Federal Government. A special commission set up to investigate the riots has, after years of labor given a clean chit to the Gujarat state government and it’s Chief Minister.

India has been at the receiving end of Islamic terror for 1100 years starting with 711 A.D. She has been attacked, plundered, raped and maimed by those who carried Koran in one hand and a sword in another.Even after its bifurcation on religious lines 61 years back, Islamists, aided by Pakistan have fomented hundreds of riots. The latest in this saga of terror and mayhem is what we witnessed two weeks back in Mumbai. And yet, Mr. Santorum finds fault with Hindus and Hindu groups!

Mr. Santorum takes refuge in the writings of Professor Martha Nussbaum, whose anti-Hindu bias is known to the Indian Diaspora. This is a “cyclic” strategy where one person makes an unsubstantiated attack, another quotes it and then the originator quotes the second person and this goes on and on making it a gospel truth. Mr. Santorum’s whole strategy comes from the same thinkers that tried to make President elect Obama’s brief and inconsequential interaction with William Ayers an issue in the campaign- again a feeble attempt to make an issue out of nothing.

The last paragraph is very revealing since it exposes the method by which most pseudo-seculars behave especially our communist historians who quote each others opinion to prove their point and rarely refer to any original work!

Media against BJP -Varun Gandhi

The latest media campaign against the BJP seems to be gaining speed. Varun Gandhi's alleged communal remarks are being brought into centerstage, again as a distraction from actual poll issues.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jCRSzD01xI

(Why are statements where someone says I will protect Hindus reminiscent of a villian in a B grade movie?!! Also, the commentator Rupashree Nanda calls the Islamic threat - Imaginary persecution!!!)

It is actually not surprising that this was released by Sardesai's CNN-IBN (a rabidly anti hindu news channel). These news media people need a sound verbal thrashing if not a public whipping!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cBRi9cwi2E&feature=related

(Another disgustingly narrated news piece by some freak anchor (Ranjit Mishra) spewing crap in highly exagerrated (typical of low grade hindi news) and very irritating Hindi making a mockery of a very serious issue facing the Hindus in Philbit)

http://www.ndtv.com/convergence/ndtv/story.aspx?id=NEWEN20090088063&ch=3182009103900PM

"I am proud of my faith and not apologetic about it. I am a Gandhi, Hindu and an Indian in equal measure," said Varun Gandhi, Leader, BJP."Hindutva embraces tolerance with justice, compassion with courage and inclusivity with insight. Nothing I have ever said or done has been intended to insight hatred. I am pro India not anti-anybody. Since, the UP assembly elections, the Pilibhit constituency and the entire of central UP, which is about 20 districts, has been witness to a number of communal and provocative incidents," Varun added.

"It is a crime to be called Hindu in this country why should I apologise? The slaughtered remains of cows have been found in homes, no action has been taken. Thousands and thousands of people from the Hindu community have been placed under arrest in NSA. Three temples have been vandalised in the block in which I am supposed to have given this speech. Village Pradhans have been threatened daily. My attempt has been to boost confidence of a community which has been under siege in its own country. When things are seen out of context, there is always a danger of misunderstanding. India is a big country, with a big heart. There is room in it for all to live in goodwill. That is my sincere hope and effort."

http://www.indianexpress.com/news/cd-tampered-claims-varun-but-admits-rousing-speech/435953/

“If you ask me, I would say yes, it was a rousing speech, a strong speech. May be I should not have been so aggressive; may be, I should not have used the words which I did. However, certain expressions attributed to me have been distorted from what I spoke and one of the two CDs containing my speech has been doctored.”

“What people should realize is that I was speaking at a village where four girls had been raped. When I spoke, I wanted to instil confidence among victims, I wanted to offer hope to the hopeless. I don’t care about a warrant (for arrest) but what bothers me is that I should not be hurting anyone and, believe me, my intent was not to hurt anybody,” Varun said.

“You must appreciate the fact that in my area, there has been persecution of Hindus in a particular belt. There have been 11 cases of rape in the last one year. People have been thrashed and threatened. There has been communal tension in this belt for one year. While I don’t want to cement it (tension), I cannot wish it away either.”

“My mother (Menaka Gandhi) has been elected to Lok Sabha from Pilibhit in seven consecutive elections, but the constituency has never witnessed a communal riot, not even in the Ram Janmabhoomi movement phase. But during the last one year, things have been different. Many of our people, including former minister Ram Saran Verma, have been arrested under the National Security Act,” he said.

“What I referred to was ‘galat tatva’ (wrong elements) and not any community in one of the lines that has been described as inflammatory. How does it have any communal overtone? The second CD in circulation is doctored,” Varun said.

In a press release issued later, he said: “In the instance, where I have taken oath in the name of the Gita (which is standard court procedure), I have sworn to protect Hindus against any ‘galat tatva’ or bad elements. This was said in the context of two young Hindu girls having been recently raped in a village. The object of the speech was to instil confidence in a badly-scarred and shaken community. I never mentioned a word against or said anything derogatory against any community.

"If anyone raises a finger towards Hindus or if someone thinks that Hindus are weak and leaderless, if someone thinks that these leaders lick our boots for votes, if anyone raises a finger towards Hindus, then I swear on Gita that I will cut that hand."
(I wonder what is wrong or communal in this statement?)

The Media here asks a question to Venkaiah Naidu which insinnuates that being proud of Hinduism is a crime to be ashamed of!!

"On Varun Gandhi remaining unapologetic with assertions that he was a Gandhi, Hindu and an Indian in equal measure, Naidu asked, "so what is wrong in being a Hindu?""

Instead of putting light on the situation in Philbit and giving a complete picture to the whole episode, the media has once again chosen to show just one side of the story to suit their political rquirements!

Also, this is something that one person might have said in one constituency. What is the need for the Media to make this into a huge national level issue? They did not seem to mind when the Congress and communists make communal and seccessionist statements!!
